According to a news update posted by the Colorado Lottery, Yahnique decided to quit her job due to feeling burned out. She has been a regular lotto player for 30 years.
Yahnique found out she had won by checking the Colorado Lottery's website. When she discovered she had the right numbers, she called her husband over to let her know. Her husband didn't believe her at first.
"I was highly suspicious but then I thought, there’s no way she could mock up their whole website,” Yahnique's husband told the Colorado Lottery.
But he sure believes her now that they've actually started to receive their checks. First up? Paying bills and making some home improvements.
