Game of Throneswill return for its eighth003 Archivesfinal season in the earlier half of 2019, HBO President Casey Bloys confirmed on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association press tour.
This is the first official word on when exactly in 2019 the season will drop – though we've still got some narrowing down to do.

Major actors have wrapped filming, which means the episodes could be ready if the network wants a winter release (imagine Thronesin winter!).
Previous seasons have started in late March or early April, so that would make sense – but Season 7 premiered in mid-July, which leaves the warmer months equally on the table.
So, like Jon Snow, we kind of know nothing, except that we know somethingand it's that by this time, a year from now, we'll know how Thronesends.
Let that sink in.
