Twitter rocked the internet on Sisters Sex ScandalThursday when it debuted a new redesign to the microblogging platform. In addition to featuring a rounded aesthetic, the site's major facelift also introduced new circular profile pictures, replacing Twitter's former square format.
And let's just say: a good chunk of the online world was notinto it.

But if you're one of the many users not happy with Twitter's new design, we have some good news for you: you can get your beloved squares back with a new Twitter Debubbler Chrome extension.

"I woke up today, went through my Twitter timeline and noticed that everyone was nagging about the new redesign (which I don't even find that 'horrible,' but that's mainly because I rarely use Twitter's web version and I'm already used to the round avatars from Tweetbot)," Brueckers said in, yes, a Twitter conversation.
Fortunately for unhappy Twitter users, Brueckers decided to do something about it — He made his own Twitter Debubbler Chrome extension to revert back to Twitter's old square aesthetic.
And for anyone out there who prefers to be a square, he made the extension available to the public on Product Hunt.
"Since I've always wanted to write my first simple Chrome extension, I took the chance to do it for this particular use case. As it is just a fun project, I currently have no plans to expand the 'Debubbler' to other platforms," said Brueckers. "But I already got a lot of positive feedback on Twitter and Product Hunt, so people definitely use it, which is great."

The extension is sure to be a lifesaver for users everywhere. While some users are simply upset about the new aesthetic because it's different, other people and brands were annoyed with how the circular profile pictures cut off the corners, leaving them with strangely mangled branding.
But if you really can't stand the idea of your face being displayed in a bubble, with this new extension, you resume being the Twitter square you prefer.
