Actor Terry Crews shared a personal story on Twitter Tuesday about being groped inappropriately by a powerful studio executive – and like the many women on the losing end of Weinstein's power dynamics, he kept quiet.

He spoke to other people who knew and had worked with this executive (who also phoned in an apology) and ultimately chose not to take action.

"I let it go," Crews wrote. "And I understand why many women who this happens to let it go." He noted that solidarity and whisper networks must be effectively in place for victims to speak out against powerful abusers, adding that Hollywood is far from the only industry with these systemic problems.
