After the longest shutdown in park history,Yoo Jung Disneyland Resort will reopen its doors to Californians April 30. And, as if that wasn't enough good news, the Happiest Place on Earth now has another huge unveiling planned for later this spring.
On Thursday, Disney Parks and Marvel Studios announced Avengers Campus will open to the public Friday, June 4. The superhero-themed California Adventure Park expansion was originally scheduled to open in summer 2020, back when Black Widowwas first due in theaters. But it will now debut under heavy pandemic-related restrictions, including operating at limited capacity, as the state eases out of social distancing measures.

Similar to Star Wars' Galaxy's Edge, Avengers Campus will offer Marvel-themed rides, shops, restaurants, and photo opps aimed at immersing visitors inside the Marvel universe. Guests can help Peter Parker (Tom Holland's Peter Parker, specifically) in the Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure screen ride, or aid The Guardians of the Galaxy in the already existing Mission: BREAKOUT! drop ride.
Plus, there's Ant-Man and the Wasp-themed food offerings at the Pym Test Kitchen, Shawarma Palace à la Avengers (2012), Doctor Strange's Ancient Sanctum, and more.
“We are so excited to soon welcome our guests to Avengers Campus, the first land dedicated to Super Heroes at Disney California Adventure Park,” president of Disneyland Resort Ken Potrock said in a statement via Marvel. “Guests of all ages can find their powers and our cast members will unite to create these special moments and memories.”
