Samsung's Galaxy S8 blends beautiful design and free amature sex videoperformance effortlessly, but how much safer is its battery compared to the Galaxy Note 7?
In January, Samsung announced it would implement a new "8-point battery safety check" that would not only put all of its future phone batteries through extreme testing, but also include x-ray and human inspection checks.
A newly uploaded video by the popular "What's Inside?" YouTube channel, done in collaboration with the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, seems to confirm the Galaxy S8's battery won't catch on fire or explode, even when you stab it with a knife.
SEE ALSO: Watch how far Samsung's Galaxy S8 has evolved from the original Galaxy SThe What's Inside channel is known for cutting products in half to, well, see what's inside. With the help of JerryRigEverything, they pry off the glass back, and take a Dremel to the front (the action starts at the 6:13 mark), cutting through to the back of the phone where the battery sits.
Now, here's the good part. The Dremel nicked the back of the battery, and it starts smoking and expands. Some of the lithium-ion oozes out, but that's about it.
As JerryRigEverything explains, normally you'd see sparks and flames after puncturing a lithium-ion battery. But Samsung's someone figured out how to prevent the Galaxy S8's battery from catching on fire.
So there you have it! Good job, Samsung! You can now rest easy knowing that Samsung's done everything in its power to make sure Galaxy S8's don't blow up like the Note 7.
That said, as safe as the S8's battery appears, you should not try any of these unscientific tests at home, and the phone shown in the video may not accurately reflect the durability of final retail models. We don't condone attempts to damage or destroy the Galaxy S8 — or any phone — to the point where its battery could explode. You do so at your own risk.
