Another day,Watch Four Riders (Hellfighters of the East) Online another large chunk of time spent trying to understand Donald Trump's Twitter account.

On Tuesday morning, the president retweeted a video that showed director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, at a White House news conference on Friday. As many know, Dr. Fauci often speaks at the conferences because he's a key member of of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. However, in this particular video, Dr. Fauci is shown reacting to Trump's words.

In the clip, Trump can be heard calling the State Department "the Deep State Department." As he says this, Dr. Fauci looks at Trump, laughs a bit to himself, and then lifts his hand to his forehead to do a more subtle version of a facepalm.

In watching the footage it's clear that Dr. Fauci wasn't thrilled with Trump's "deep state" comment, which is why it's so confusing that Trump retweeted the video (along with the caption "Dr. Fauci is all of us 🤦") to his 74.9 million Twitter followers.

It's possible that Trump didn't realize Dr. Fauci's reaction wasn't favorable towards him. Perhaps he thought the tweet meant we're all concerned about the pandemic or we all can't stop touching our faces. But whatever his thought process was, the fact that he retweeted the video is a brutal self-own.

Dr. Fauci's facepalm began trending after Twitter users witnessed it at the Friday night news conference. Many found it remarkable to see this man, who for weeks has been advising people not to touch their faces, break and touch his own face on live television as a result of Trump's stupid comment.

Perhaps Trump will eventually realize Dr. Fauci was embarrassed by his "deep state" comment and eventually undo the retweet, but until then, we'll just have to wonderwhy.
