You know what's sweeter than winning an EGOT?Brigitte Meyer Winning two EGOTs.
Or so we assume. Only one person would actually know what it feels like to pull off a double EGOT – that is, two wins each from the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys – and that's Frozensongwriter Robert Lopez.
SEE ALSO: The best and worst moments of the 2018 OscarsLopez completed the feat at Sunday's Academy Awards, where he picked up a Best Original Song win (with Kristen Anderson-Lopez, his frequent collaborator and wife) for "Remember Me" from Coco.
He collected his first EGOT in 2014, when he scored his first Best Original Song win for "Let It Go" from Frozen. At the time, he was only the 12th person ever to win an EGOT, and the fastest EGOT winner in history – it took him just 10 years to get from the first prize to the fourth.
Lopez's non-Oscar wins are two Daytime Emmys in 2008 and 2010 for Wonder Pets; one Grammy in 2012 for The Book of Mormonand two more in 2015 for Frozen; and a first Tony in 2004 for Avenue Qand two more in 2011 for The Book of Mormon.
If you're counting, yes, that means he's just one Emmy and one Oscar away from a tripleEGOT. Seeing as he's only 43, he's young enough that he might just get it someday.
