According to Video Games Chronicle, which cites "multiple people with knowledge of Nintendo's next-gen console plans," Nintendo Switch 2 is reportedly hitting store shelves in the second half of 2024.
It will still have its predecessor's LCD panel (to keep costs down), continue to accept physical games via cartridge slot, and deliver top-notch portability, however, gamers should expect an uptick in storage for higher-fidelity games.
Get ready for a new-generation Windows OS.
According to a report from Commercial Times, a business-focused, Taiwan-based outlet, Microsoft is due to launch Windows 12 in 2024 (h/t Tom's Hardware).
The next-generation operating system will coincide with a new wave of "AI PCs" that are due to debut this year. According to Lansweeper, only 8.35 percent of users have upgraded to Windows 11 as of October 2023.

The next-generation iPad Pro models, packed with OLED displays (replacing LED and mini-LED panels), are expected to be released in 2024, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. They will also reportedly have the M3 chip, which is featured inside the 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro.
This display upgrade should deliver better brightness and power efficiency.
Plus, the Magic Keyboard will reportedly get a redesign; it will be aluminum, similar to recent MacBooks.
Gurman also claims that the fourth-generation AirPods, outfitted with FindMy support and noise cancellation, will be headed our way in 2024, too.
Plus, if you haven't grabbed an AirPods Max yet, this year will be the perfect time to do so. Apple will reportedly roll out refreshed AirPods Max models with a USB-C port in 2024, according to Gurman.
We already know that Samsung drops a new Galaxy S-series phone every year in January or February. However, what's different about this year's family of devices is that, according to trademark applications (spotted by Galaxy Club), the next-generation Galaxy handsets will reportedly be Samsung's first AI phone line.
It's unclear what, exactly, this means, but it's worth noting that Junho Park, Samsung's Director of Global Product Planning, said at a post-Galaxy Unpacked roundtable event that the company is "deeply developing" generative AI stuff.
