One moment from the music video, in particular, caught a lot of people's attention: the "twist" at the very end.

Basically, the story goes something like this: all through the video, it's implied that Grande is interesed in a man who appears to be with a woman who looks similar to Grande. At the very end, though, it's the womanthat Grande comes close to kissing.

Back in January, for instance, her teaser for "7 Rings" was called out by some for its use of Japanese culture.
