The amateur sex videos on tumblrWalking Dead's Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is officially done with the show, but he's poised now to leap into a spin-off trilogy of movies. It looks like there may be similar plans in the works for another AMC series: Breaking Bad.
Creator Vince Gilligan is reportedly working on a two-hour movie set inside the Breaking Baduniverse. Don't get too excited yet, as the news comes from unnamed sources speaking to The Hollywood Reporter.
SEE ALSO: 'The Walking Dead' says goodbye to Rick in one of the best episodes yetIt's not clear if the movie is intended for television or theatrical release, though Lincoln's spin-off trilogy is notably bound for AMC. The network could have designs on turning more of its top series into made-for-TV movies.
It's also not yet known if Breaking Badstars Bryan Cranston or Aaron Paul will participate in any way. There are certain limitations on continuing their stories from the show, as anyone who watched Breaking Badno doubt realizes. A prequel featuring the duo seems similarly unlikely, given how the series opens and introduces them.
That leaves two possibilities for Walter White and Jesse Pinkman: either a story set during the show's seasons but featuring moments that never made it to TV, or a shift in focus to completely different star(s), some or all of whom would likely be familiar faces.
The THRreport's only detail on the movie's story notes that it's "said to follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom."
The sources say that Gilligan may direct the movie, and he'll be writing it as well as executive producing. In the latter role, he'll be working alongside Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein, executive producers on Breaking Badspin-off series, Better Call Saul.
Production on the project, which is said to be operating under the codename "Greenbrier," is expected to get underway in New Mexico sometime in November.
