Curling further cemented its legend as a completely underrated sport over the weekend when organizers had to kick out an entire team from a competition in Canada for being way too drunk.
The Dead Againincident happened on Sunday at the Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta and the booted foursome included Ryan Fry, who was a member of Canada's 2014 Olympic gold medal-winning squad.
Organizers fielded multiple complaints about the foursome's behavior resulting in their ejection from the rink and the tournament. Speaking to the CBC, Wade Thurber, facility manager at the Red Deer Curling Centre, said "they were extremely drunk and breaking brooms and swearing and just unacceptable behavior."

The team, led by Jamie Koe, included Fry, Chris Schille, and DJ Kidby. Additionally, according to a posting made at the arena, Koe's team has been banned from further events at the venue.

Fry offered up an apology in a statement to the CBC, saying, "I allowed myself to lose control. I offended people with my actions and I wish nothing more than to apologize to everyone individually. I will be taking proper steps to ensure this problem can never happen again."

Curling and beer go together like, well, curling and beer and there's plenty of evidence of the excellent pairing, like an American and Canadian curler enjoying a cold one after a match at the 2018 Olympics.
And then there was the husband of Canadian curler Rachel Homan who was spotted at those same Olympics double-fisting beer.

And one brewery in Nebraska has actually released its own curling-inspired beer.
It all goes to show that curling is really bowling on ice with more yelling, which is glorious. Just keep your alcohol intake in check.
