It's common knowledge that Fox News regularly downplays big news or classic sex moviesignores huge stories altogether if they doesn't align with its core conservative beliefs. But something entirely weird and different is happening with Fox News' trending Apple News stories.
Not only do they have nothing to do with the leading stories of they day, they often times they seem like they came from completelyout of left field -- and maybe even from outer space.

Whaat? And the amazing thing is that there are SO many of these: just completely bizarre stories coupled with important, pertinent news from other sources. As I noticed it happening again and again, I couldn't help but take screenshots. Because, again, there are SO MANY.
Over the past year these have often happened during pivotal political moments.
For instance, this is from right before the government shut down.
Though the process by which these particular items end up in Apple's trending section is a complex one, but these are stories that Fox News wantsto highlight by feeding them into Apple News.
Stories like a police breakfast tweet gone wrong.
Or what Jesus has to say about judging Jennifer Aniston.
And so many more.
