Update 10:55 a.m. ET:Twitter.com appears to be Franceback online, at least in the U.S. Its mobile apps are now updating as well. Original story follows below.
It's not just you. From the U.S. to Europe and Asia, Twitter has left us.
"Something is technically wrong," the website reads. The site claims it will have "things back to normal soon." The Twitter app for iPhone will load, but if you try refreshing the feed, you'll see the message, "Tweets aren't loading right now."
Below the message, an adorable robot appears to have lost one of its mechanical pincer-hands.
The issue seems to be impacting the Twitter homepage, but some other pages remain unscathed. The developer dashboard is up and running, and it's still possible to create applications. Tweetdeck is also good as new, and you can still access tweets through the Search page.
Down Detector indicates that Twitter has been experiencing issues since around 9:50 a.m. Eastern Time. Twitter's website has received over 10,000 complaints in the past 40 minutes from around the globe, including users in Denmark, Belgium, Puerto Rico, Norway, and all over the U.S. The northeast U.S., France, and the UK have seen the most reports, with significant complaints from Brazil, Japan, and the rest of Western Europe as well
Speculation is as rampant as you'd expect. Some users had withdrawal:
