Amazon just did something wild. The brand-new 2024 MacBook Air with the M3 chip is down to $799, and I’m trying really hard to come up with a reason not to buy it. Spoiler: I can’t. Apple isn’t exactly known for giving out discounts on a fresh(ish) release, so seeing this price drop feels like some kind of glitch. Normally, you'd be looking at $1,099, but Amazon has it marked down by $200. Then there’s an extra $99 coupon at checkout, bringing the total discount to $300.

The M3 chip is a real step up, making this the fastest and most efficient MacBook Air yet. Apple has been hyping up its future AI-powered features, and the M3 chip is built to handle them. You’re also getting 16GB of memory, which is kind of a big deal since it means this thing won’t start lagging the second you open a few too many Chrome tabs. The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display is the same stunning screen Apple is known for, with support for a billion colors and True Tone to keep everything looking crisp. Battery life is also ridiculous.
