OnePlus will launch its OnePlus 9 series of products on [Ep4] Secret CampusMarch 23, the company has announced.
We don't know how many new devices are coming, or their exact specifications, but OnePlus did reveal a few important details about the cameras on its future phones.
Notably, the company signed a three-year deal with Swedish camera maker Hasselblad, known for pricy, high-end cameras (and for building the camera hardware that captured the Apollo 11 moon landing). This doesn't mean Hasselblad was solely in charge of developing the camera on the OnePlus 9 devices. Instead, OnePlus collaborated with Hasselblad to develop advanced color calibration for the OnePlus 9 camera, which should result in more natural colors in photos.
There will also be some extra features in the camera software, such as support for 12-bit RAW files, improved HDR video recording, and 8K video recording at 30fps. And the photo editing interface will be inspired by Hasselblad's Phocus image editing app.

The phone will also have a freeform lens, which should largely eliminate distortion in ultra-wide photographs.
The event, which starts at 10 a.m. ET, will be streamed live over on OnePlus' website.
