This isOne Good Thing, confessions: eroticism in media a weekly column where we tell you about one of the few nice things that happened this week.
File under: Spice Girl-inspired summer bops we didn't know we needed.
Herve Pagez and Diplo might have made the song of the summer. "Spicy" is a reworking of Spice Girls' 1996 mega-hit, "Wannabe." With vocals provided by pop princess Charli XCX, the tune is ready to be cranked at any poolside function.
The music video, directed by Reed + Rader, features the three artists turning up in an animated underwater oasis filled with dancing dolphins and lots of neon. Charli XCX and Diplo even take a video game-like joyride on the dolphins before busting a move alongside them.
"Spicy" is a timely ode to the world's favorite girl group — the Spice Girls are currently on a record breaking summer tour. Despite the fact that they're missing Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice), the group has sold out massive venues across Europe.

Charli XCX took to her Instagram to upload some behind the scenes shots of the video. In true XCX fashion, her loud caption blared, "ITS AN ABSOLUTELY GENIUS AND THOUGHT PROVOKING TAKE ON A @SPICEGIRLS CLASSIQUE!!"
SEE ALSO: The 'Old Town Road' music video is here and brimming with yeehaw energyDiplo posted a clip of the video to his Instagram, paired with the (much more chill) caption: "'wannabe' by the spice girls is such a classic it almost feels wrong to remake it, but think we did ok. hope u enjoy the dolphin party."
Now that we've got the party-friendly jam, we just need some dolphin-shaped pool floats...and a pool.
